Wagle's Weely Wacky- Part 1

We have received word that state senator and lt. governor candidate Susan Wagle is on the brink of mental breakdown.

According to a source very, very close the the Barnett campaign, Wagle has advocated for the removal of the entire campaign staff, (including Christian Morgan- who orchestrated the campaign's 10-point victory on August 1st) has pushed for changing positions on expanded gambling (she's reportedly been urged to do that by part-time gambling lobbyist and quasi-quitter Tim Shallenburger) and thinks Dr. Jim Barnett cannot win the election if she doesn't take a more visible role in the campaign. She has even gone as far to propose that she appear in their next television ad - without Barnett!

The source also goes on the say,

'Anyone that knows Susan Wagle knows she is totally nuts and is only interested in doing something if it has a direct benefit to her. She can't be trusted and she will stab her own mother in the back if it means advancing her agenda.'

Ouch. More on this tomorrow and throughout the weekend. You are going to love what else we have to report. If there is any question right now that Susan Wagle is seriouslly having a hard time dealing with reality, wait until you read some about some of her recent actions.

No shock here. Wagle has been a loose cannon for years. Barnett should take a Wagle dump and find someone that moderates can at least somewhat support.

I'm anxious to hear what else you guys have to report on her. Don't keep us waiting too long!

wagle thinks she is the only person who can get anything done in topeka. she is so full of herself and has turned off many good republicans.

Is this really news? Reporting that Wagle is crazy? Wow. Really shocked about that news.

Anyone who follows Kansas politics can tell you what a loose canon she is.

The blogger is right about Wagle not doing anything if it doesn't benefit her.

Go easy on Wags. She's just having a hard time accepting the fact that she is becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Maybe she can team up with Phill Kline and start and insurance agency or used car lot in mid-November. They both know how to sell bullshit and would make a perfect team.

Go away, Wags. We're tired of your act.

Do not make us wait! We want more about Wags!

Wags- that's funny, dude.

A source close to the campaign? Give me a break. IF this site is truly run by Republicans (why don't you id yourself?), then your actions are more damaging to the Kansas GOP than that of any other so-called Republican in this state. Do us dedicated Republicans a favor and take the blog down. The rest of us will work to get Barnett, Kline and the rest of the candidates elected.

You guys need to work on your "sources" -- we're all still waiting to hear whether you completely made up the Canfield "mailing piece."

Also, you have falsely attributed quotes to people in the past.

Oh, and, one other minor thing -- convince us you're not a bunch of Democrats who are on the Sebelius payroll.

Notice how the apologist offer nothing to dispute the claims made by the source....

I'm sure the republicans on this blog figure they have to stand up for Wags (I like that name to) and instead of setting us all straight, they do what they accuse democrats of doing- attacking the messenger and not the message.

I dont know if Wagle is on the brink or not, but it kind of makes sense from what I hear. Since her stunt with Carla Stovall several years ago to her thing with the sex ed professor at KU, she was more interested in getting in front of a tv than anything else. i remember she didn't even sit in on one of the professors classes and took the word of a student.

Hey Republicans- if you don't like what you read here, go somewhere else. Visit the republican blog about Sebelius or the one about Parkinson or the one about democrats in Kansas or the one about Morrison, etc.

But its hard to visit them when they don't exisit. Another example of how disfunctional the current party has become. Thanks to guys like Shallenburger.

You might as well give it up and plan for 2010. Maybe then you can find some real leadership and candidates other than radical conservatives.

Susan hurts more than she helps Barnett. I know them both and have contributed to their campaign, so I'm in a better position than most to comment on this.

Barnett needs to open his eyes to this and dump her for someone with more mainstream Republican credibility.

I'm a conservative, but even I think Wagle is too far right.

This is all a shame, because Jim Barnett is an honorable man and would make a terrific governor. Too bad he's going nowhere with Susan next to his name on the ballot.

where is jennison when we need him? he would have made the best running mate for barnett. i think kansas should vote for governor and then vote for assistant governor. there is no way wags would have been elected is she was on the ballot herself.

Dennis Hawver would have made a better candidate than Susan Wagle. At least he doesn't piss off people when his name is even mentioned.

This blog is lame.

The owners should come out and say who they are.

Otherwise, there's little reason that they are just lying and making up "sources."

It's one thing to debate/dispute a source if two things are true: the source is known/trustworthy, and the publisher is trustworthy.

Neither of those apply here.

Again -- identify yourselves.

Derick Sontag is a dedicated republican? Didn't he quit on the state party?

Or was that Shallenburger?

Oh wait- one quit and one almost quit.

Is that right?

Losers. Just go away.

Identify yourselves! Right now! If you don't you are going to be grounded!

Whatever. If its lame, why do you keep coming back, smart guy?

Nobody cares who runs this blog other than the people who are being outed and being criticized. Guess that's what happens when someone is in the public eye. If you don't like it, then stay at home on the farm.

If you really want to fnd out who is behind this or any blog, all you have to do is go to court (state you are in and the state this blog is hosted) and subponea the user logs. Then you can take those logs and identify the specifc IP address used by the blog owners, assuming they don't use a proxy server, which is very common these days. Then, armed with the logs, you can go to another court and get another subponea for the internet service provider and request the username of the person using that ip address on the date(s) in question.

If they use a proxy server to mask their actual location, all it would take is an international subpoena and assistance from the foreign government where the servers are said to be located.

But then the servers could be found to be nothing more than a redirect, in which case the circle starts over, but that of course assumes they could find a judge anywhere that would feel compelled to ignore the First Ammendment all because some Republicans in Kansas are pissed off.

Plus, if the blog owners are very tech smart, they use a spoofed proxy server and make it point to a known ip address block, like the governor's office or state party offices. Either way, all it does is waste time and resources that would ordinarily be spent trying to elect their candidates- which is exactly what the Democrats are trying to do with this blog.

Who let the IT person in here? Go away, nerd.

Wagle voted to give in state tuition to illegal immigrants and Barnett is using the immigration issue as a centerpiece in his campaign. As long as he has Wags on the ticket, his attacks on Sebelius are worthless.

This blogs is amusing. Totally ludicrous, but still amusing.

Sebelius, Tiller's governor

Anonymous said...

Sebelius, consumed with personal ambition.

Anonymous said...

Sebelius does absolutely nothing.

And the people that run this blog probably work for her.

Good work, Governor! You rank even higher than Dennis Moore does in terms of "Kansas politicians who do absolutely nothing."

Hey -- JD,

I'm a conservative, and I find your personal blog entertaining -- and, I expect more out of you than this last comment you made.

This blog here has
a)"reported" false information (and we all now should assume they are all Democrats who are just out to intentionally make up stuff to frustrate Republicans)
b)allowed others to make inappropriate comments

No one from the outside has any reason to provide his or her name, especially without knowing who these immature people (probably liberal KU students who like to repeat what their professors tell them) who run this blog.

But, JD, I will say that you do seem pretty level-headed, even though I may not agree with you (and though I voted for John Bacon).

This blog is dumb and run by liberals.

Anonymous said...

Hey, when are you going to tell us who runs this site?

I'm really curious if it's Democrats, or if it's unhappy moderate Republicans who can't win elections on the issues (like those connected to Aaron Trost, Ed O'Malley, Dick Bond, Steve Cloud, etc.).

Anonymous said...

I'm thinking it is the moderate people, since they talked in the past about the victory party. They were probably there, talking to John Vratil and Dick Bond.

Why did Aaron Trost give $75 to Brad Wagner?

Wagner got shellacked, that was hilarious.

Anonymous said...

Those who have their shorts in a twist over this blog have obviously never spent 30 seconds in Topeka or around the legislature. Wagle is widely disliked by her peers, conservatives included. They actually enjoy dealing with Kay O'Connor over Wagle. The more serious question revolves around Barnett's awful judgement. I heard conservative legislators who like Barnett opine that he had blown the election when he chose her. His judgement, like his campaign, is a disaster.

Anonymous said...

If Barnett's campaign and his pick is a disaster, what does that make canfield and jennison's campaigns?

Anonymous said...

Nate Thames

I've met Aaron Trost and there is nothing moderate about the guy. He is a right-winger.

Trost works for conservative extremists in Missouri like Matt Bartle and Sam Graves. He worked for Jim Ryun too -- and Ryun is as far to the right as a politican can be.

It is a sad day when conservative extremists like Trost are called moderate, it shows how far to the right Kansas has become.

Anonymous said...

There no disputing that Aaron Trost gave $75 to liberal Brad Wagner.

He may be conservative, or he may not be. He should spend his money better.

It sounds like the last poster is either a very, very liberal Democrat or one of those silly "the Republican party left me" people.

Is the biggest thing in Kansas politics really Aaron Trost's $75 donation? Pathetic.
